Job brief

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient handling, organization, and maintenance of all data assets within the organization. The Data Management Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data management strategies, establish data governance processes, and maintain data integrity across various systems and platforms.   • Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Establish data standards and guidelines to be followed by the organization.
  • Data Acquisition and Integration: Collaborate with data providers and internal stakeholders to acquire and integrate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Identify and resolve data integration issues or discrepancies.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement processes to assess and maintain data quality, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation. Identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions to improve data accuracy and completeness.
  • Data Documentation and Metadata Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and metadata. Ensure metadata consistency and accuracy across different systems and platforms.
  • Data Security and Privacy: Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to establish data security and privacy protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies, such as GDPR or CCPA, and implement data anonymization techniques where applicable.
  • Data Reporting and Analysis: Support reporting and analysis requirements by developing data models, creating dashboards, and generating insights from structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Data Archiving and Retention: Define and implement data archiving and retention policies based on business requirements and regulatory guidelines. Ensure proper storage and backup procedures are in place for long-term data preservation.
  • Data Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote data management best practices within the organization. Create awareness about data management principles, data governance policies, and the importance of data quality.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience 1 year working in data management, data governance, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with data quality assessment and improvement techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of Data Management Tool (Kobo, Survey CTO, )
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
